Traditional occupation villages in Sand Island ( Cat Hai )

Depart for Phu long village ( Where is the Land of Dragon on the
South west of Cat ba island ) by bus. Following the trans-islet
road tourist can see the wonderful picture of the island

The bus stop at (Moc trang ) White Landmark beach –
a long spread beach beside the old coconut and pine tree forest.
Tourists go for a walk , have a bath in the sea or look
inhabitants catching oyster, snail on the misty days .

Continue the trip to Cai vieng pier, transfer to the boat to visit
salt – marsh
Forest & Thien Long cave ( Thien Long means Heaven Dragon –
the biggest cave on the island and was newly found in 1998), here
tourists can see many stalatites around the cave or visit some
graves of ancient Viet people who died thousands year ago. On the
way to cave, tourists discover the mangrove forrest where is the
house of many kinds of sea products in the time they are laying
eggs. Tourist can buy some sea food for lunch.

Return to the pier, transfer to ferry to Cat Hai –
a flat island was formed by alluvium and sand, no hill nor
mountain and different from Cat ba –
a rocky mountain island. People here earn their living by fishing,
making salt and proccesing sefood sauce.

Arrive Got pier. Tourists start visitting Sand Island by horse
carts.

Tourists have lunch at a Restaurant in town or have pinic lunch in
seaside Pine forest .

After lunch tourists continue the trip to get through Gia Loc - a
long life fishing village, Hoang Chau –
a village contain many ancient houses, Nghia Lo village - here
villagers earn their living by making salt, planting
rice ( tourists will find the way they make salt ). After that
tourists will visit Cathai fish sauce proccesing factory, Cat hai
fish sauce is a famous products in North Viet nam.

Return to ferry, transfer to bus back to hotel. Tour finished
